8 tips for those who’re trying to quit smoking

We’ve all heard grueling statistics from the World Health Organization, like “tobacco kills up to half of its users” and that it “kills more than 7 million people each year”, but why are so many of us still willing to take such a gamble? Forget the fact that we know all about the risks of developing serious health conditions. 6) Diet and exercise: Sometimes changing up your diet and exercise routine can make a monumental impact for those who’re looking to quit. Not only will your body feel better because it’s getting the nutrients and physical activity it needs, but you will also notice that decompression from everyday stresses will become much easier. Isn’t that one of the reasons that you smoked in the first place?

7) Keep your hands busy: Busy hands means a busy mind which can help keep you distracted from any unwanted nicotine cravings. Try spending an afternoon drawing your surroundings, take up the art of knitting or simply write a quirky short story. Occupying your time doing something constructive is a great way to help you realize that you don’t need a smoke.
